Waiting for emails…
New messages appear here automatically. Turn on Notify me to get an alert while you are in another tab.
This address has expired
The address and its emails were deleted for good.
Temporary inboxes usually live in one browser tab. Close it, switch phones or clear your browser data, and the inbox is gone, together with the confirmation email you were waiting for.
We give every address its own access key.
On the same device
Just open the site again. Your address, its timer and its emails are still there until the address expires. This does not work in a private window or after you clear your browser data. For that, use the key.
On another device
- Press Save access under your address.
- Press Copy key and keep the key somewhere safe, such as a password manager or a notes app.
- Or scan the QR code with your phone camera. It opens the same inbox right away.
Later, press Restore inbox and paste the key. If the key is wrong, or the address has expired, you will see a clear message.
When you choose a lifetime longer than a few hours, we remind you to save your key.
Why not an account?
An account needs a password, a recovery email and often your real identity. That defeats the point of a temporary address. A key gives you the useful part, coming back to your inbox, with no personal data at all.
Keep it private
- The key is the inbox. Anyone with it, or with a photo of the QR code, can read your emails.
- A lost key cannot be recovered. This is on purpose: we do not know who you are, so we cannot check that the inbox is yours.
- The key stops working when the address expires. Everything is deleted and the address is never reused.
Step by step: how to recover your temporary inbox.
Questions
What is an access key?
A secret code of 20 letters and numbers, like ABCD-EFGH-1234-5678-JKMN. Only the person who created the address gets it, and it opens that one inbox.
How do I open my inbox on my phone?
On your computer, press Save access and scan the QR code with your phone camera. The same inbox opens on your phone.
What if I lose the key?
We cannot recover it, because we do not know who you are. On the device where you created the address, the inbox still opens normally until it expires.
Is it safe to share the key?
Only with people who should read your emails. Anyone with the key or the QR code can open the inbox.
