Terms of Use

Last updated: 2026-10-11

These terms are an agreement between you and [Full name], who runs TempDog. By using TempDog you accept them. If you don't, please don't use the service.

1. The service

TempDog gives you a random temporary email address on our domain. You choose how long it lives, from 5 minutes to 30 days. You can receive emails; you can't send or reply. When the address expires or you delete it, it and all its emails are permanently deleted. An address is never given to anyone else. The service is free.

2. Who can use it

You must be at least 16, or older if the law where you live requires it.

3. Your access key

Each inbox has a secret access key. Anyone who has it can read the inbox. We can't recover a lost key, and we can't tell who is holding a key.

4. Don't use it for anything important

Temporary addresses end. Don't use them for banking, health, government services, work, or any account you will need to get back into. Some websites refuse temporary addresses; that is their choice.

5. What you must not do

  • Anything illegal, including fraud, phishing, identity theft, and receiving stolen data.
  • Harassment, threats, or abuse of other people.
  • Receiving child sexual abuse material, or any content that exploits children. We report it to the authorities.
  • Creating addresses in bulk or by automated means, or using the service to break the rules of other websites in ways that harm them or their users.
  • Trying to get around our limits, verification, or security, or to access inboxes that aren't yours.
  • Overloading or disrupting the service.

6. How we handle illegal content and abuse

Anyone can report illegal content or abuse with our report form. A person reviews every report; automated tools only limit how fast addresses can be created and detect obvious spam. If we act on a report or on our own checks, we may delete an address and its emails, block new addresses from a connection for a time, or block the service in an emergency. Where the law requires it, we tell the affected person why, unless that would help a crime or the address no longer exists. If you disagree with a decision, reply to our message or write to us again and a person will look again. You can also go to court or, in the EU, to an out-of-court dispute settlement body.

7. Content in your inbox

Emails are written by their senders, not by us. We don't check them and aren't responsible for them. Be careful with links and attachments, just as with any email.

8. Our content

The TempDog name, logo, design and texts belong to the operator. You may link to us and quote short parts with a link.

9. Availability and changes

We try to keep TempDog running, but we provide it “as is” and “as available,” without any warranty, to the extent the law allows. We may change, limit or stop the service, or these terms. Changes to the terms apply from the date shown at the top; important changes are announced on the home page.

10. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost emails, expired addresses, lost access keys, accounts you can't get back into, or indirect losses. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law, including for intent or gross negligence, or your rights as a consumer.

11. Law and courts

These terms are governed by Romanian law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can go to the courts there.
